Beloved Blue Larimar and Gold Necklace
23-Karat Gold Leaf on Lava Stone, Larimar, and Freshwater Pearls

Larimar is truly a beloved and rare stone in that it is only found in the Dominican Republic. The larimar stones are most often blue with white veining presenting the artistic look of clouds against blue, blue sky. My process is hand-gilding 23-karat gold leaf on black lava stone, adding larimar, light green freshwater pearls,14-Karat gold-filled toggle clasp, and my designer signature tag.

Larimar is a rare blue variety of pectolite found only in the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean.
