My "Landscape Silhouette" bowl is designed to have light reflect off the glowing gold behind the trees and star landscape creating a silhouette. The luminescence of this glass art will brighten any spot in your home.
My glass art pieces are all one-of-a-kind. Each is individually hand-gilded and hand-painted. This elegant bowl is gilded with 23-Karat gold leaf with the design engraved and hand painted on the reverse side of the glass. This process is called verre églomisé, a term for cold painting and gilding on the back of glass. There are many layers with the final layers in a high gloss protective coating. This can be a usable fine art piece since the design is on the reverse side of the glass. What you see is the precious gold metal through the glass.
Enjoy, use and a gentle hand-wash is recommended.
